Programs & Services
We promote and support best practices by providing grants, professional development, technical assistance, and advocacy.
Policy & Advocacy
We are a leading voice for early childhood health and are passionate about the importance of our work on behalf of families and children, our communities, our state, and the nation. Learn more about our policy and advocacy work and how you can become involved.
We offer various assessments to early childhood programs that can help you understand current best practices, areas where improvements could be made, and how to take steps toward making changes. Find assessment offerings below.
Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care Recognition
As an early childhood program, you provide children with support and guidance to help them learn and grow. You also play a critical role by supporting moms to achieve their breastfeeding goals, including moms you employ. By sharing your knowledge and support of breastfeeding families, you can help improve the health and well-being of the children in your care.
Child Care Health Consultation
Since 2001, Healthy Child Care Colorado has served as the statewide hub for Child Care Health Consultation in Colorado by offering ongoing support, training, and resources for those medical professionals working in early childhood programs.
Capital Improvement Grants
Early childhood programs often operate on tight profit margins and many lack the budgetary flexibility required for costly improvements to the building, classroom, or playground. Our grants are competitive opportunities for early childhood programs and offer important capital improvement funding.
We serve as the hub for Pyramid Colorado, the effort to expand implementation and advocacy of best practices and sound policies in social-emotional development and inclusion. The Pyramid Model is a framework of evidence-based practices for promoting young children’s healthy social and emotional development.
