As a teacher, I discovered that the strategies I learned during my Pyramid Plus Approach training six years ago were nothing short of invaluable! They transformed my classroom management, enhanced my teamwork with co-teachers, and drastically reduced my stress levels – all of which played a pivotal role in the success of the children and fellow educators in our classroom.
When the opportunity arose to join the Facilitator Certification program, I seized it without hesitation. This decision marked a turning point in my professional growth and my journey as a practitioner of the Pyramid Model. The chance to collaborate with other Pyramid leaders, to train and coach fellow educators in Pyramid strategies, and to engage in meaningful reflections with my team were instrumental in shaping me into a confident coach and trainer.
Of course, like any worthwhile endeavor, it was no walk in the park. One of the most significant challenges I faced was breaking free from the mindset that I was solely a classroom teacher for young children. Embracing my expanded role as a trainer and coach demanded dedication and effort, but it was undeniably worth it. Through the practical experiences gained during the Pyramid certification process, I not only successfully transitioned into my new roles but also gained an abundance of confidence thanks to the constructive feedback I received from both my team and the providers I was coaching.
One of the aspects I cherish most about this journey is being part of a professional community dedicated to uplifting others within their practice, ensuring everyone’s success. Sharing Pyramid strategies with early childhood educators, potentially helping them create more successful moments with their students and families and being a member of a community of like-minded professionals – are the driving forces that led me to pursue Facilitator Certification. Looking back, I am immensely grateful that I embarked on this path.
My experience with Pyramid certification has transformed my professional life and deeply enriched my passion for early childhood education. It’s a journey that continuously inspires me and reminds me of the importance of growth, while reinforcing my commitment to improving our educational practices and the lives of the children we serve.
