Building Brains: Influencing Healthy Development in Early Childhood
This training provides an overview of how children’s brains develop and what factors can influence healthy and age-appropriate development. We will explore how early experiences can influence learning, behavior, and development.
Participants receive a certificate for 1.5 hours of training and resources.
CARING CONNECTIONS: FOSTERING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH INFANTS AND TODDLERS
In this training, we examine the critical importance of establishing and fostering adult-child connections with infants and toddlers. Along with exploring different strategies, you will complete a plan to improve connections and reflect on the impact this will have on the children in your care.
Participants receive a certificate for 1.5 hours of approved training.
Cavity Free Kids
Cavity Free Kids is a curriculum designed for use in child care centers, family child care settings, preschools, head start, and home visiting programs, as well as other early learning environments, like library storytimes and play and learn groups. Cavity Free Kids lessons and activities can be adapted to the ages and developmental stages of the children in your care.
This training includes a rich collection of activities, circle time activities, stories, and songs that actively engage children. The curriculum includes activities, resources, and materials that make it easy for you to teach children and their families about the five basics of oral health.

Participants will receive a certificate for 2 hours of approved training, the curriculum book, and other teaching materials.
CONNECTED CAREGIVING: DEVELOPING QUALITY INFANT AND TODDLER RELATIONSHIPS
This training helps you understand what responsive caregiving looks like in practice. We will explore areas of infant/toddler child development and developmentally appropriate practices including attachment theory, serve and return interactions, strategies to enhance adult-child relationships, and more.
This exploration provides the opportunity to identify your own strategies to improve interactions with infants and toddlers in your care. Participants receive a certificate for 3 hours of approved training.
CREATING QUALITY OUTDOOR LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
We will explore the importance and benefits of having safe high-quality outdoor spaces. You will learn about the correlation these environments have on physical activity and health in addition to ensuring safety for children. Programs can be offered a CPSI or POEMS for a discount if scheduled along with this training. Participants receive a certificate for 2 hours of approved training.
Programs can receive one of our playground assessments at a discount when scheduled with this training.
COOKING MATTERS FOR CHILD CARE PROFESSIONALS
Cooking Matters for Child Care Professionals teaches both home and center-based early childhood professionals with limited food budgets about healthy meal preparation and creating a positive food environment for the children in their care. This hands-on, discussion-based training covers topics such as choosing healthy and affordable foods that appeal to children, encouraging positive mealtime attitudes, safe cooking with confidence, menu management on a budget. Participants will engage in cooking and preparing nutritious meals that meet the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines.
Participants will receive a manual highlighting the information covered in the course and a variety of recipes, essential kitchen equipment, and 8 hours of continuing education in health, safety, and nutrition.

GO GREEN! ECO-HEALTHY CHILD CARE (R) PART ONE
The Eco-Healthy Child Care training, from the Children’s Environmental Health Network, aims to empower and educate child care professionals on how to implement free/low-cost, realistic, and effective best practices to promote a healthier environment.
Part One gives you a deeper understanding of the eco-healthy best practices for household chemicals, furniture, art supplies, and plastics used in your program. You will also receive a copy of the Green Cleaning Curriculum as a part of this training. Participants will receive a certificate for 2 hours of approved training.
Part Two will help you understand the eco-healthy best practices for pest control, air quality, lead, mercury, arsenic, radon, and recycling/garbage. Participants receive a certificate for 2 hours of approved training.
Upon completion of parts, one and two of the Eco-Healthy Child Care Training participants will have the tools needed to assist in applying for the Eco Healthy Child Care Endorsement from the Children’s Environmental Health Network. Reduced rates are available for groups that schedule parts one and two.
I AM MOVING, I AM LEARNING FOR PRESCHOOLERS
I am Moving, I am Learning (IMIL) is nationally recognized and improves the quantity and quality of physical activity in early childhood settings. Participants learn and practice strategies to enhance structured physical activity through music and movement for young children. Participants develop program-specific action plans to successfully implement I am Moving, I am Learning into daily routines.
Participants will receive a certificate for 3 hours of approved training, an IMIL book, and teaching materials.
I AM MOVING, I AM LEARNING FOR INFANTS & TODDLERS
Enriching early childhood experiences support brain development and form bonds between children and adults that are essential for healthy physical, cognitive, and social development. We will explore how relationships between adults and children, and between brain and body, are enhanced by music and sensory, control, and exploratory experiences. This training provides strategies and resources that support learning through music and movement for three different ages and stages including infants (pre-crawlers), babies (crawlers), and toddlers (walkers).
Participants receive a certificate for 1.5 hours of approved training.
LET’S GET HEALTHY! GUIDING YOUNG CHILDREN TO EAT WELL AND PLAY HARD
This training highlights ways to enhance physical activity, nutrition, the importance of sleep, and limiting screen time. You will also receive tools to assist with creating a basic health and wellness policy for your program.
Participants receive a certificate for 2 hours of approved training.
NURTURING SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL GROWTH
The Nurturing Social-Emotional Growth in Early Childhood Programs training explores the importance of supporting the social-emotional well-being of young children. This includes assisting children in recognizing and acknowledging feelings, understanding how social-emotional well-being benefits school readiness and the role your classroom environment plays (both programming and physical set-up) in impacting healthy social-emotional development.
Participants receive a certificate for 2 hours of training and resources.
