Job Description: T/Th/Fri Lead Preschool Teacher ( 3.5-5 year olds)
We are a parent cooperative school where children, parents, and teachers come together to play, explore, and learn in a joyful, stimulating, and safe environment. We aim to nurture caring, confident, and competent lifelong learners.
At WPELC we believe children learn best through play with an emphasis on social-emotional development. Students explore and enrich their world physically, emotionally, and intellectually—toward optimum growth. Our teachers provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum full of experiential and hands-on learning opportunities.
Our integrated curriculum incorporates emergent literacy, science, math, dramatic play, social studies, gross motor movement, art, and music. We balance free play and choice time with facilitated group and individual activities.
Teaching Hours: 8am-2pm Tuesday, Thursday with 16-18 students (with parent helper and co-lead or associate teacher) and 815am-115pm Friday with 6-8 students (in smaller classroom with just one teacher)
Start Date: Mid August 2025
