Lead Early Childhood Teacher

Tiny Violets Childcare is a Play based childcare center for children 6 weeks to 7 years old using the Brightwheel Experience Curriculum.

Early Childcare Teacher: Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of young children? Tiny Violets Childcare is looking for a patient and compassionate childcare teacher who has experience working with children in ages 6 weeks to 7 years old. The teacher will help lead developmentally appropriate activities that encourage healthy physical, social, and emotional development for students.

Responsibilities:

• Teachers use Experience Curriculum through Brightwheel to foster a classroom environment of safety and respect and learning through play.
• Perform daily cleaning routines to keep facilities sanitary and safe
• Prepare and serve snacks 2 times throughout the day
• Keep parents and families updated on their student’s daily activities and progress.

Requirements:

High school diploma/GED and at least 18 years of age, able to lift, pull & push 25 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods of time
1+ years of experience working in Child Development or a related field Ability to work creatively and flexibly
**Must be able to pass a government-required background check and fingerprinting process

Preferred Qualifications:

• 12 completed ECE units
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Experience working in a play-based environment
• Bilingual in Spanish or other languages is a plus
• Completion of required courses or alternate path requirements through PDIS

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:

Early childhood education: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Early Childhood Professional Credential 2.0 or 3.0 (Preferred)
• Infant Safe Sleep Practices (Preferred)
• Medication Administration Training (Preferred)
• ECE 101, 103 & 111 (or) 101, 103 & EQIT (Preferred)
