The Wonder Academy, an independent locally-female-owned early childhood school in the heart of downtown Denver, is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Director to join our Leadership Team. We employ a multifaceted approach drawing on the wisdom of the philosophies of Reggio-Emilia, Waldorf, RIE, attachment theory, and the Forest School movement.

This position requires an individual whose values and attitude embody the school’s mission of creating a holistic learning community for children, their families, and early childhood educators with an emphasis on deeply respecting children and allowing them to be the co-constructors of their learning experience.

Our ideal Director is experienced and believes in child-lead learning environments and the Reggio, RIE, Forest School, and Waldorf pedagogies. They will possess innate respect for children and people of all ages and have the natural ability to lead.

The Director reports directly to the school’s founder and is responsible for various high-level aspects of running our school including, but not limited to:

*Hiring and managing staff
*Serving as a liaison for enrolling families
*Managing the fiscal responsibility of the daily operations
*Cultural stewardship of our community
*Staff Community mentorship
*Ensuring curriculum and philosophy integrity
*Executing day-to-day operational functions

All those with a minimum of three years of Early Childhood Director experience, who possess a Director Qualification Certification from the State of Colorado, are passionate, collaborative, hard-working, and professional employing a high level of integrity and versatility are encouraged to apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
