Located on a beautiful one-acre property, The Owl Academy is a family-owned and operated early learning center with a focus on nature, creativity, and connection. Our preschool classroom provides an enriching environment where children ages 3 to 5 are encouraged to spread their wings and fly. We strongly value communication and connection with all families—bilingual educators are encouraged to apply.

Position Overview:

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that promotes school readiness and lifelong learning. This role requires strong classroom management, curriculum planning, and a passion for early education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early learning standards
• Create a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, cooperation, independence, and creativity
• Foster social-emotional development and model positive behavior and conflict resolution
• Observe and document developmental progress and communicate regularly with families
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and outdoor play space
• Collaborate with co-teachers and administration to support school-wide goals
• Participate in team meetings, ongoing professional development, and special events
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families

Qualifications:

• Must meet Colorado State Licensing requirements for a Preschool Teacher
• Must have a Level 2 or higher in the PDIS system
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a licensed preschool program
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Passion for early learning and a nurturing, positive attitude
• Ability to lift 35 lbs and engage in active play and movement throughout the day

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour
