Are you a creative, nurturing educator who loves inspiring young minds through play, exploration, and hands-on learning? The Owl Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team of dedicated early childhood professionals.
Located on a beautiful one-acre property, The Owl Academy is a family-owned and operated early learning center with a focus on nature, creativity, and connection. Our preschool classroom provides an enriching environment where children ages 3 to 5 are encouraged to spread their wings and fly. Position Overview:
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that promotes school readiness and lifelong learning. This role requires strong classroom management, curriculum planning, and a passion for early education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early learning standards
- Create a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, cooperation, independence, and creativity
- Foster social-emotional development and model positive behavior and conflict resolution
- Observe and document developmental progress and communicate regularly with families
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and outdoor play space
- Collaborate with co-teachers and administration to support school-wide goals
- Participate in team meetings, ongoing professional development, and special events
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families
Qualifications:
- Must meet Colorado State Licensing requirements for a Preschool Teacher
- Must have a Level 2 or higher in the PDIS system
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a licensed preschool program
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Passion for early learning and a nurturing, positive attitude
- Ability to lift 35 lbs and engage in active play and movement throughout the day

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour
