The Owl Academy, a family-owned and operated early childhood center nestled on a beautiful one-acre campus, is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly motivated Director to lead our nurturing and nature-inspired program. Position Overview:

The Director is the highest on-site leadership role at The Owl Academy and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations, including licensing compliance, staff supervision, enrollment management, curriculum oversight, and family engagement. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, a passion for early childhood education, and a commitment to excellence in care and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and The Owl Academy’s policies and procedures
• Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate staff; build a positive and collaborative school culture
• Maintain accurate records for staff, children, and licensing documentation
• Oversee curriculum planning, classroom environments, and daily routines in alignment with developmentally appropriate practices
• Partner with families to support children’s growth and development, and address any concerns in a timely and compassionate manner
• Lead tours, respond to enrollment inquiries, and maintain enrollment goals through community outreach and retention efforts
• Manage center operations including scheduling, budgeting, tuition collection, and inventory management
• Foster a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
• Collaborate with the owners on strategic planning and school improvements

Qualifications:

• Meet all Child Care Licensing requirements for a Director in the state of Colorado
• CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an early childhood setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or administrative role
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to foster a positive team environment and uphold a high standard of care and professionalism
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Passion for child development and dedication to creating meaningful learning experiences
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds, and meet physical demands of a childcare setting

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
