This position’s purpose is to provide engaging and meaningful individualized learning experiences for 2 ½ – 5+ year-old students in a multi-age classroom while serving as Assistant Director to a growing community.

Schedule:

Full-Time / Year Round
School Year (August – May) & Summer Camps (June & July)
Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Location: Fort Collins

Salary:
This is a salaried position ranging from $47,000-52,000.

Playcrafter Kids is a creative arts organization serving children ages 3-12 through play-based preschool, summer and day camps, after school programming, preschool theater enrichment classes, and more! Our approach is to cultivate, nourish and support all learners, thinkers, and doers through the arts and play. We are community focused and expanding our reach by moving into a new official home in Fort Collins.

Qualifications:

  • Colorado Early Childhood Teacher Qualification Requirements
  • 1+ year(s) of experience
  • A current Early Childhood Professional Credential Level II or higher in Version 3.0: a combination of experience and professional development
  • Director certification is a bonus!
  • Must pass state and federal background check and fingerprinting
  • CPR and First Aid Certification must be current or acquired within one month of hire
  • Must complete 15 hours of required pre-service trainings and courses before working with children

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Plan and implement stimulating and developmentally appropriate play spaces and lessons that honors each child’s play urge as a play responsive educator
  • Maintain student documentation and support the creation of their individual portfolio
  • Build respectful and collaborative relationships with families. Communicate daily to offer support and partnership
  • Help maintain clean, safe and stimulating classroom environment and play spaces
  • Co-teach AM play-based group and lead PM Universal Preschool (UPK) group with assistant to create an environment of love, support and safety
  • Attend and participate in meetings and events with team and families (some after school hours)
  • Collaborate with the team regarding lesson planning, school events, policies and procedures
  • Maintain all school, local, state, and federal ratios, regulations, rules, and requirements
  • Cover Director duties in their absence
  • Demonstrate cultural competence to effectively interact, work, and develop meaningful relationships with people of diverse identities, perspectives, and cultural backgrounds
