Preschool Teacher

We are seeking fun, energetic teachers to join our team working with 2.5-3 year olds, or 3-4 year olds. Both full and part-time positions available.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning, supervising, and implementing the program for the class in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the school.
• Gearing the program to the needs of individual children with concern for their interests, needs, special talents, individual style, and pace of learning.
• Considering individual children in relationship to their cultural and socioeconomic background.
• Treating children with dignity and respect.
• Helping children to become aware of their roles as integral member of a group.
• Being responsible for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, and learning environment of the classroom. Assuming an equal share of the joint housekeeping responsibilities of the staff.
• Attending all staff meetings.
• Participating in recommended training programs, conferences, courses and other aspects of professional growth.
• Implementing methods for effectively utilizing the services of classroom aides.
• Planning and implementing methods of establishing a positive liaison with parents.
• Being familiar with and executing health and sanitation procedures as laid out by Directors.
• Being familiar with Social Services Rules and Regulations.
• Each teacher will be responsible for seeing that the same basic curriculum is being followed in all classes of that age group. Teachers will work with co-teachers to set up regular planning meetings.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or higher, degree related to education preferred
• Experience working with and teaching young children
• Must pass background checks
