Website CPCD Community Partnership for Child Development

We prepare children for success in school and in life!

Give children a head start!

CPCD provides more than 1,800 children living in poverty or challenged by special circumstances with an early childhood education through Head Start, Early Head Start, and the Colorado Preschool Program. But we aren’t just a free preschool. Our additional health, dental, and family support services ensure that children enrolled in our programs are ready to succeed in school and life!

The Teacher is responsible for the planning and implementation of learning experiences that advance the development of the whole child. The Teacher establishes and maintains a safe and healthy learning environment by planning and implementing high-quality learning experiences to advance the development of the whole child in partnership with families. Teachers ensure compliance with all Head Start Performance Standards, Colorado Department of Human Services licensing requirements, and the Colorado Quality Standards for Early Childhood Care and Education Services. Teachers implement a balance of group and individualized experiences to promote the development of school readiness skills as defined by CPCD’s School Readiness Action Plan.
