Director, Inclusion and Disabilites

This position is eligible for a $500.00 sign on bonus after 90 days of employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with other ECE Directors on the Administrative and Leadership Team for ECE to develop strategic path for the program
Applies appropriate techniques and standards in program development and service delivery.
Works collaboratively with all levels of management in developing strategic plans, priorities and directing the implementation of services for assigned service area to support our mission.
Develops and administers area budgets within established guidelines.
Uses program statistics to monitor and evaluate services and outcomes. Recommends, develops and implements improvements as appropriate
Directs, coordinates and monitors activities of programs to achieve goals.
Ensures that programs and services are in compliance with licensing, accreditation, state and federal standards and other appropriate regulatory or professional requirements and support our mission and Catholic teachings.
Develops and maintains professional relationships with community based organizations, parishes and corporations to extend the reach of services and community support.
Works with the local system of care toward the design, implementation and evaluation of a model of care that is collaborative and strengths-based.
Completes necessary administrative duties (paperwork, etc.) timely and accurately.
Arranges for the provision of special education and related services necessary to foster the maximum development of each child’s potential.
Ensures children have appropriate developmental screenings and that teachers and classrooms are appropriately prepared for each child
Provides training, feedback and consultation for staff, including on-site and/or in classroom as appropriate.
Establishes and implements procedures for recruitment and retention of children with disabilities.
Ensures that staff participate in the creation of IFSP and IEP goals for child in conjunction with the Part C provider and the local LEA, and Denver Great Kids Head Start.

Qualifications
Degree in related field with demonstrated experience in supervision, program management and budget management
Experience/knowledge in the field of ECE disabilities, child development.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Salary: Starting $69,550/Salary per year with increases commensurate with experience & education.
  • Schedule: Dependent on location, Center is open 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Schedule: Dependent on location, Center is open 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday.  This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.

Training: We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their career. Training provided within the first year of employment includes De-escalation & Safety; Public Speaking; Mental Health First Aid; Substance Abuse & Mental Health; Human Trafficking; Trauma Informed Care; and many more.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree  (BA/BS) from accredited college or university in Disabilities, Child Development or closely  related field; and two to four years related program management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
