Description of Job

**THIS POSITION IS NON-CLASSIFIED**

This position is a part-time position (.5 FTE).  This position is expected to work approximately 20 hours per week.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing Occupational Therapist consultative services to teachers, students and families.  The position includes observations and assessments of the child’s classroom skills and challenges.  Summarizing findings and developing a plan for each individual child.  The Occupational Therapist communicates summarized findings and progress with other professionals when necessary for referral and collaborative purposes.
In addition, position uses a variety of intervention strategies and goals to address differing developmental delays.  The Occupational Therapist will conduct weekly small groups with students struggling with various developmental needs.

The Occupational Therapist works closely with families as well as collaborates with teachers, other professionals, and team members.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
Education:
– BS or BA degree in Occupational Therapy
– A National Board Certification from NBCOT
– Masters Degree Preferred

Experience:
– Two years of pediatric occupational therapy experience

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
