The Child Development Center at Arapahoe Community College is looking for dedicated teachers to join our team of early childhood professionals. Our Center provides a healthy and nurturing setting for children ages 18 months to Kindergarten age. The Center utilizes research-based Creative Curriculum, a comprehensive, customized approach supporting effective teaching that utilizes exploration and discovery as a way of learning. The Creative Curriculum enables children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills.

The Early Childhood Teacher provides responsive educational opportunities in a nurturing, supportive environment that promotes success for our youngest of learners, ACC students, employees and the communities we serve, while working cooperatively with administration, colleagues and families.

The Early Childhood Teacher will create and maintain genuine relationships with children and families delivering best practices for each unique child. The Early Childhood Teacher will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the classroom including, planning and conducting assessments, utilizing assessment data, and classroom & individual observations to create informed, meaningful weekly lesson plans.

The Child Development Center follows State of Colorado licensing requirements and NAEYC accreditation standards while implementing a developmentally appropriate curricular approach. This position reports to the Director of the ACC Child Development Center. The position will typically work a 40 hour per week schedule, Monday through Friday.
