In this training, providers will discuss menu planning and shopping strategies they can use to make the most of their food dollars.
Goal: Encourage participants to safely prepare more scratch-cooked meals for the children in their care.
Objectives –participants will:
- Discuss basic principles of preventing foodborne illness
- Practice identifying simple ways to modify recipes to meet their needs
- Prepare recipes they could make and serve to the children in their care
