ONE Step Colorado

The ONE Step training prepares Early Childhood Educators and organizations serving parents and caregivers to have health-focused conversations about:

  • the health impact of exposure to secondhand smoke/aerosol and thirdhand smoke on children and infants
  • taking proactive steps to protect children from exposure to secondhand smoke/aerosol and thirdhand smoke
  • the most recent information on vaping aerosols, and vaping devices
  • behavioral and academic issues from exposure to second and thirdhand smoke
  • tobacco cessation resources and support
  • basic information about asthma and how to manage it

Free implementation kit includes resources, coloring books and crayons, asthma books for the classroom, health topic handouts, etc.

Professional Development clock hours are available through Colorado Shines/PDIS.
