It takes a village.  Creating dynamic and engaging outdoor spaces is a community effort.  In this 1.5-hour training, participants will learn how to create an environment that values staff ideas and voices to involve them in the design, build, and activation of outdoor spaces.  Participants will learn how child care programs can imbed policies and procedures to support the development of their outdoor spaces.  Participants will also learn how to plan for outdoor time with children, how staff can support site maintenance, and how directors and owners can empower staff to become experts in outdoor play.

ECHO Demonstration Site, Step by Step Child Development Center will join to speak about their journey in improving their outdoor space.

“Embracing Outdoor Learning: A Director’s Guide to Supporting Staff” is a 1.5 hour training.  Certificates will be issued for the training.
